چکیده
Background: Cerebral ischemic reperfusion injury (CI/RI) is a common cerebrovascular disease with high morbidity and disability that threatens human health. This study was conducted to explore the effects of dexmedetomidine (Dex) on c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathway in CI/RI, provide theoretical basis for recovery brain function after cerebral ischemia.

Ulinastatin attenuates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.
UNLABELLED To investigate the effects of Ulinastatin (UTI) in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (IR) injury in rats and whether this effect might be related to Aquaporin 4 (AQP4), one hundred and eighty adult male Sprague Dawley (SD) rats, weighing 230-280 g, were randomly divided into 3 groups: sham (S) group, IR group and UTI (U) group. Every group was further divided into 3 sub-groups: 6 h group...
متن کاملThe preventive effects of dexmedetomidine against intestinal ischemia-reperfusion injury in Wistar rats
Objective(s): Intestinal ischemia-reperfusion is a major problem, which may lead to multiorgan failure and death. The aim of this study was to evaluate the protective effects of dexmedetomidine on cell proliferation, antioxidant system, cell death, and structural integrity in intestinal injury induced by ischemia-reperfusion in rats. Materials and Methods: Animals were randomized into three gro...
متن کاملDexmedetomidine attenuates blood-spinal cord barrier disruption induced by spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.
BACKGROUND/AIMS Dexmedetomidine has beneficial effects on ischemia reperfusion (I/R) injury to the spinal cord, but the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood. This study investigated the effects and possible mechanisms of dexmedetomidine on blood-spinal cord barrier (BSCB) disruption induced by spinal cord I/R injury. METHODS Rats were intrathecally pretreated with dexmedetomidine or...
متن کاملExogenous hydrogen sulfide attenuates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury by inhibiting autophagy in mice.
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), the third gas transmitter, has been proven to be neuroprotective in cerebral ischemic injury, but whether its effect is mediated by regulating autophagy is not yet clear. The present study was undertaken to explore the underlying mechanisms of exogenous H2S on autophagy regulation in cerebral ischemia. The effects and its connection with autophagy of NaHS, a H2S donor, w...
متن کاملCerebral Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury in the Hyperthyroid Rat
Background: Hyperthyroidism as a risk factor for stroke is not conclusive. There are no definite data on the relationship between ischemic cerebrovascular injury and hyperthyroidism. This study was designed to define whether the outcomes of post-ischemic stroke injury are influenced by chronic hyperthyroidism. Methods: Two groups of hyperthyroid (HT) and control euthyroid rats of equal numbers ...
